Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre Information

This surgery-only practice employs five board-certified surgeons and an admissions doctor for urgent cases. Four surgeons work in-house, while one surgeon serves a mobile role, with no on-call or weekend hours. With a strong referral base and well-developed mobile systems, this role offers a unique opportunity for surgeons interested in mobile work with the option to perform certain cases in a fully equipped hospital setting when needed.

Departments

As part of this team-oriented practice, the mobile surgeon will enjoy support from a network of specialists, technicians, and prep teams, as well as the ability to refer or conduct cases at the primary surgical center. This structure allows for a versatile surgical approach while minimizing the common challenges of mobile surgery.

Equipment

The mobile role is fully equipped with a provided vehicle, surgical technician team, and comprehensive equipment. Additional support, including pack prep and sterilization teams, is available at the brick-and-mortar hospital, allowing the mobile surgeon to focus on providing top-quality patient care.

Staffing Levels

The practice consists of a close-knit team with strong support from fellow surgeons, technicians, and other staff members who prioritize collaboration and patient-focused care. Mentorship and guidance from experienced mobile surgeons are also available to help new mobile team members transition smoothly.

Type of Individual Sought

We are seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Mobile Veterinary Surgeon (ACVS) who is team-oriented with excellent bedside manner and a collaborative mindset. A hard-working surgeon with strong rapport with referring doctors and technician teams would be ideal.

Qualifications Required

Candidates must be residency-trained or board-certified with ACVS and possess strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and teamwork.
