This specialist referral hospital has been providing 24/7 emergency care and specialist services in the Newcastle and Hunter region since 2004. With over 100 qualified staff, the hospital's purpose-built facility treats more than 10,000 pets annually. The centre includes triage/consultation rooms, isolation bays, a surgical suite/operating theatre, specialised diagnostic imaging, on-site pharmacy, pathology lab, and a dedicated staff lounge for the 24/7 team.

Departments

As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will be working closely with emergency, internal medicine, and other specialty services, contributing to the comprehensive care of patients.

Equipment

The hospital is well-equipped with modern tools, including:

  • Surgical suite and operating theatre
  • Specialised diagnostic imaging
  • On-site pharmacy and pathology lab
  • In-house laboratory suite

Additionally, the hospital is currently building a state-of-the-art facility, which will feature:

  • Two custom-designed surgical theatres
  • Eight triage/consulting rooms
  • ICU ward
  • Separate exotics ward
  • Specialist diagnostic imaging room with CT scan and ultrasound
