Veterinary Internist (Board Certified / Diplomate / Residency Trained)

We are an innovative, state-of-the-art, 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital located in Washington, in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are seeking a second internist to join our growing and dynamic team.

Our hospital is committed to a progressive, inclusive, and supportive practice culture, where we emphasize work-life balance, collaboration, and professional growth. We value our employees and foster an environment that actively combats burnout, compassion fatigue, and toxic work environments. With our core values of respect, integrity, compassion, and humility, we ensure that these principles guide how we treat each other, our patients, and their families.

Our team structure is horizontal, meaning we value and cherish our technical and support staff as critical members of our team. This is reflected in our shared bonus structure that benefits all staff as the hospital grows. We offer a collegial and collaborative atmosphere where learning and development are priorities at all levels of the hospital.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a second Internist to join our internal medicine team. Our team has developed a dedicated client base that is eager to pursue advanced care and diagnostics. You will work alongside other specialties such as surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, dentistry, and critical care, providing comprehensive care to our patients.

Our hospital features advanced equipment and resources, including:

  • 128-slice CT
  • MRI
  • Ultrasound
  • In-house blood bank
  • I-131 therapy
  • Minimally invasive surgery
  • Flexible and rigid endoscopy
  • Fluoroscopy

Additionally, our fully operational 24-hour emergency service will soon be integrated into the hospital under the guidance of a dedicated critical care team and board-certified criticalist.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible ACVIM and will be committed to a culture of compassionate care. Collaboration is key, and we seek someone who works well with other specialists and team members. Shared caseloads, journal clubs, speaking engagements, and teaching opportunities are part of our internal medicine service. Experience or interest in interventional radiology is welcome but not required.

For the Successful Applicant:

We prioritize work-life balance, as we believe that an excellent clinician is one who is both satisfied at work and able to pursue their passions outside of work. Washington offers an incredible living experience for outdoor enthusiasts, with mountains, the Puget Sound, and the Pacific Coast all within reach. The vibrant city life of downtown Seattle is also just a short drive or ferry ride away.

Our benefits include:

  • Relocation bonus
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Full medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus employer-paid short- and long-term disability insurance
