Veterinary Neurologist (Board Certified / Diplomate / Residency Trained)

The hospital is located in the Ottawa Valley and serves a population of approximately 1 million residents . It is a well-established facility offering 24-hour emergency services, specialty care, and intensive care, staffed by a dedicated team of specialists. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including CT, MRI, electrodiagnostic equipment, and an on-site laboratory.

Departments

The neurologist will be part of a collaborative team of specialists including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Dentistry, Rehabilitation, and Critical Care.

With approximately 30 veterinarians and 160 staff members, the hospital is a large facility that supports a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Type of Individual Sought

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Neurologist with excellent communication skills. Candidates should have a passion for teaching and mentoring and must demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications Required

Candidates must hold a valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in Canada. The position requires board certification (ACVIM or ECVD) or residency training in neurology (and eligibility to sit for board exams). Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in French is considered an asset. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).
