Join a two-specialist, five-veterinarian ophthalmology-only practice located in Melbourne, where increasing demand has created the need for a third trained Veterinary Ophthalmologist. This animal hospital operates from a dedicated ophthalmology-only building in the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and runs a busy referral-based practice with a high medical and surgical caseload, including zoo animals, exotics, and horses.

Departments

You will be part of a collaborative environment, assisting in the training of residents and working alongside a dedicated, highly trained nursing team that plays an integral role in practice operations.

Equipment

This animal hospital utilizes the latest state-of-the-art equipment and specialized techniques, including:

  • Abbott - AMO WhiteStar Phaco machine with Fusion Fluidics
  • Dedicated Ultrasound machine

Staffing Levels

The team consists of experienced professionals committed to delivering the best and most up-to-date care for patients. Weekly rounds and journal clubs are held to ensure ongoing professional development.

Type of Individual Sought

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Ophthalmologist who holds a Bachelor degree or higher, has at least 2 years of employment experience, and is eligible for registration in Victoria. The ideal candidate will have ideally passed the Specialist Examination and should be interested in a long-term association with the practice.

Qualifications Required

Candidates must have completed a residency in Veterinary Ophthalmology and hold eligibility for registration in Victoria.
