Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre Information

This hospital is a busy, multidisciplinary facility that includes a 24-hour Emergency Service, General Practice, and Ophthalmology. Currently operating out of a 24,500 square foot space, the hospital has a large referring veterinarian community with over 300 general practice and emergency hospitals, ensuring a diverse and challenging caseload. In 2025, the hospital will move into a new 52,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that will feature a full complement of specialty services, including a dedicated diagnostic imaging space with a 3 Tesla MRI, CT, and Linac generator.

You will be part of a highly skilled team that works collaboratively across various specialties. The hospital is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic imaging tools to support comprehensive patient care.

Equipment

The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, including:
  • Toshiba Aquilion 64 slice CT
  • .25T Vet MR MRI
  • Pulsera Fluoroscopy unit
  • Philips ultrasound and echocardiogram
  • Karl Storz endoscope
  • Two Sound digital radiograph suites

The new facility in 2025 will include:
  • 3 Tesla MRI
  • CT
  • Linac generator

The hospital boasts a strong team of veterinarians who work collaboratively across multiple specialties. The support team is dedicated and experienced, providing the foundation for excellent patient care and a positive work environment.

Type of Individual Sought

The hospital seeks a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Radiologist who is either board-certified or residency-trained. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a team-oriented attitude, and a passion for providing exceptional diagnostic and critical care. Organizational skills and the ability to mentor interns and technicians are also essential.

Qualifications Required

A valid DVM degree or equivalent, allowing practice in Canada.
Board certification (ACVS) or residency-trained with eligibility to sit for board examination.
License in Ontario or eligibility to be licensed with the CVO.
