Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre Information

Join a reputable 24-hour emergency and specialty referral hospital that has been providing top-tier veterinary services since 2001. This hospital is committed to serving the needs of veterinarians and pet owners in Calgary and beyond, offering state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic services. Currently, the facility is expanding with the addition of a Neurology department and on-site MRI to better serve its large referral base, which includes over 75 hospitals.

Departments

You will be part of a collaborative Radiology department that works closely with our other specialty services, including Critical Care, Dermatology, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency Care, and Rehabilitation.

This hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and imaging tools, including:

  • Digital radiography
  • Ultrasound
  • Endoscopy
  • Fluoroscopy
  • CT scanner
  • Linear accelerator
  • Mechanical ventilator
  • Comprehensive on-site diagnostic laboratory and monitoring equipment
  • MRI (part of the new expansion)
  • Staffing Levels

Type of Individual Sought

The ideal candidate is a dedicated, board-certified Radiologist or an eligible candidate with a positive, collegial personality and strong communication skills. The role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other specialists, emergency doctors, and mentoring interns and students from the University of Calgary School of Veterinary Medicine.

Qualifications Required

Candidates must hold ACVR certification from the American College of Veterinary Radiology or ECVIM Radiology certification from the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
