About the Medical Director Role:

The Medical Director (MD) works closely with the Hospital Director (HD) in a collaborative Dyad Model, providing leadership and oversight of both Emergency and Specialty services. In this role, you will:

• Lead and direct the Medical Services team, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management of doctors
• Collaborate with the HD to manage hospital operations, improve patient care, and enhance team engagement
• Oversee department workflows to ensure high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining efficient operations
• Work with hospital leadership to manage financials, including the budget and expenses
• Foster strong Referral Partner relationships and support team members in building those connections

Who You Are:

• You have a proven track record of leadership, especially in times of change, transformation, and rapid growth
• You bring 5-7 years of progressive experience in a veterinary organization
• You can manage conflict with maturity and grace, even in highly emotional situations
• You have experience as a board-certified veterinary specialist, emergency veterinarian, or in other leadership roles within the veterinary or animal health industry
